Hi Dave - as all the opportunities on Musical Busker come from different external event organisers, it's best to get in touch with them directly if you have any questions. Thanks!

@ Richard Aylward - don't know if you've already sorted out Liability insurance, but there are plenty of websites where you can investigate prices, if you enter public liability insurance into the search engine. I'm not sure about Bournmouth, buit I know in Liverpool where you are also required to have insurance, the council can actually arrange it for you, where you pay the £100 (roughly £2 a week) and you are insured through them.

Talked to the town centre manager of Bournemouth, they have a system requiring a licence and public liability insurance....both pretty expensive. Then there are just a few places to play....

Obviously nobody would wish to be a nuisance in any way, but this does make it really hard for students or those without cash up front...

Anyone else had to deal with bournemouth?

Hi
I have just read this and have recently been thinking of returning to Gosport.but then again!.
I am a guitar teacher and as such I have found most companies are willing to insure an individual for 1 million to cover this practise, the fee is around £40 to £50 pounds. I have no wish to be rude or insult this fella but we all need to realise we contribute greatly to our environment by our actions,by removing all colour from our lives we will all end up, you guessed it, in a colourless life.Buskers and all Performing Arts are the remedy for this condiion. I assume that the market traders and leaflet distributors are already covered for five million. This man does have a job to do and we have to make our world safe. Perhaps then Gosport Council could provide bunting! Roll Up, Roll up.see the Busker.
                                                                                                   Dave Evans.
