Places in the East of England where a licence is needed to busk, or performers are required to adhere to a council code of conduct:
Chelmsford – Buskers do not need permission to play, but there are council offices located in the High Street and continuous loud music can be seen as a nuisance. No CDs, tapes or other products can be sold and buskers should not obstruct any doorways, footpaths or fire exits. For more information, contact the council on 01245 606253.
