Places in the North East where a licence is needed to busk, or performers are required to adhere to a council code of conduct:

    last time i was there, sunderland required for busking the very same license that a pub would have to take out for live music. that was two years ago.

    Newcastle Upon Tyne is probablys the best place to busk in the Northeast of England. However a lot of the regular buskers are being forced out of the City by the large amount of Romanian Accordian players who seem to be on every street corner these days. These so called musicians are rude and offensive and have been known to threaten other buskers. They also cannot play their accordians.
