Manchester – Some parts of the city centre are under a premises licence so busking can take place here with the permission of the council’s Events Department. Contact m.parrott@manchester.gov.uk for more information. To busk in other areas you will need a personal premises licence, which can be applied for on the council website – www.manchester.gov.uk.
